Five.
Five years is how long it takes to determine the survival rate of a cancer patient. Experiencing a loved one go through cancer triggered something in me that wanted to make sure nobody else will experience the same anguish as me. Even if my project carries barely any weight in medical research, I took up this offer by BIDMC as a way to find the high ground of my father's cancer and to join the fight for a cure.
3-axis scanning water phantom apparatus I designed for usage at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. 22x22x22" scanning tank with 18x18x18" operating area. Fully custom-built and self-designed from the ground up with open-source CNC control system.
